Ana Morales is a non-profit professional who is passionate about girls and women, particularly those who have experienced gender-based violence. Based in London and originally from Monterrey, Mexico, Ana has a degree in Human Resources and a Masters in Art Therapy from Pratt University in New York. She has focused her career in the non-profit sector, spending 10 years with her family’s foundation. She has also worked as an art therapist at the Hispanic Coalition in New York City and volunteered for after-school programs in London with underserved youth. Ana is a Founding Member of Maverick Collective, an initiative led by Population Services International and co-chaired by Her Royal Highness Mette- Marit and Melinda Gates to transform the lives of girls and women and lift them out of poverty.
Through Maverick Collective, she is piloting a program to break the cycle of poverty for teen mothers and fathers in El Salvador through youth-friendly reproductive health services. She hopes to leverage her project into additional opportunities for the region, using her native Spanish to inspire further philanthropic initiatives tied to her Mexican heritage.
