Darley Tom
Managing Partner

I believe in the power of connection and collaboration. Only when we work together can we create meaningful, sustainable change and push the boundaries of what’s truly possible.
Darley Tom is a connector at heart who believes in the power of community to spark lasting change. As Managing Partner and Experience Architect at Maverick Collective, she brings nearly 20 years of cross-sector experience to bold, purpose-driven initiatives that inspire and activate.
Since joining Maverick Collective in 2019, she has shaped the Collective’s approach to experiential philanthropy, designing meaningful, high-impact journeys that align people, ideas, and purpose for maximum impact. She began her career in journalism, honing her storytelling and producing skills at ABC News. She then transitioned into advancing public and international programs through roles with the United Nations, the USDA, and the United Nations Foundation. Additionally, her time in the private sector as a director of marketing for the global hospitality brand Park Hyatt provided her with valuable insights into the luxury market and the nuanced needs of global businesses. These experiences enriched her ability to blend creativity with business strategy, navigating complex public-private partnerships and understanding the importance of building authentic connections with target audiences.
Darley is an author in the journal of Virology for her work on Hepatitis C. She holds a Masters in Sustainable International Development from the Heller School of Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University. In her spare time, Darley channels her creativity into hands-on projects — working on her garden or at a hardware store, crafting her next art project using unexpected materials — or finding her zen at the archery range.
