Darley Tom
Managing Partner
Change doesn't happen in isolation. It happens in the meeting of minds, the merging of purpose, and the audacity to believe we can do more together than we ever could alone.
Darley Tom is a connector at heart who believes in the power of community to spark lasting change. As Managing Partner and Experience Architect at Maverick Collective, she brings more than 20 years of cross-sector experience to bold, purpose-driven initiatives that inspire and activate.
Since joining Maverick Collective in 2019, she has shaped the Collective’s approach to experiential philanthropy, designing meaningful, high-impact journeys that align people, ideas, and purpose for maximum impact. She began her career in journalism, honing her storytelling and producing skills at ABC News. She then transitioned into advancing public and international programs through roles with the United Nations, the USDA, and the United Nations Foundation. Additionally, her time in the private sector as a director of marketing for the global hospitality brand Park Hyatt provided her with valuable insights into the luxury market and the nuanced needs of global businesses. These experiences enriched her ability to blend creativity with business strategy, navigating complex public-private partnerships and understanding the importance of building authentic connections with target audiences.
Darley is published in the Journal of Virology for her research on Hepatitis C. She holds a Master’s in Sustainable International Development from the Heller School of Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University. A proud supporter of film and storytelling, she serves on the Board of Chicken & Egg Films. In her spare time, Darley channels her creativity into hands-on projects — tending her garden, sourcing unexpected materials from the hardware store to craft into art — or finding her zen at the archery range.
