“I’ve had the privilege of working alongside our PSI Caribbean team and the Ministry of Health and local partners in Trinidad and Tobago to support an HPV testing pilot. In Trinidad and Tobago – and beyond – we have the opportunity to support women and girls to access the tools to drive forward their futures. We’re thrilled to have documented the work and learnings in our latest video, above.”

In one year, 1 in 2 women will die of cervical cancer – with the majority of deaths occurring in low and middle-income countries.

The reality cannot be overlooked: cervical cancer is a disease of inequity.

Through my work in Trinidad and Tobago, I’ve seen firsthand how girls and women face some of the highest gaps in accessing the information and technology that can screen for (and treat) the onset of the disease.

It doesn’t have to be this way.

With catalytic investments, we can mobilize the resources to eliminate cervical cancer, once and for all. But to get there, we need buy-in from diverse partners, including innovative philanthropists like ourselves.

When we invest in eliminating cervical cancer, we invest in the future of women and the power they bring to their families, their communities and their nations, as a whole.

That’s a win, for us all.
